We are seeking an experienced embedded firmware developer to help us port an existing sensor system from a Particle B402-based platform to an Arduino Portenta C33. The system involves interfacing with sensors to measure weight and transmitting that data over Bluetooth or cellular networks. ✅ Project Scope Current setup: Microcontrollers: Particle B402 (nRF52840-based) and MSP430FR5849 Sensors: Analog Hall Effect sensors for weight measurement Communication: Data transfer from MSP430 to B402 via Serial, with cloud upload via Bluetooth or cellular Available: Full source code for both MSP430 and Particle firmware New target architecture: Microcontroller: Arduino Portenta C33 (datasheet) Sensor upgrade: Replacing Hall Effect sensors with FlexiForce A401 (requires analog-to-digital interfacing) 🔍 Your Responsibilities Analyze existing firmware on Particle B402 and MSP430 Port or rewrite firmware to run on Arduino Portenta C33 using C/C++ Integrate FlexiForce A401 sensor with proper ADC configuration Enable data transmission over Bluetooth and/or cellular (on Portenta C33) Advise on project timeline, challenges, and budget 🧠 Required Expertise Strong experience in embedded firmware development (C/C++) Familiarity with Arduino Portenta family or RA6M5-based MCUs Sensor interfacing and ADC data acquisition (especially FlexiForce A401 or similar) Serial communication protocols Experience with Bluetooth and/or cellular communication stacks Ability to interpret and migrate existing source code 🕒 Timeline This is a time-sensitive opportunity.
